Family & Women's Health Physician

As a minority youth growing up in the GTA what I learned about intimate partner violence came from the lived experiences of people around me. Learning about the multigenerational impact of this type of trauma is what fueled my interest in advocating for survivors of intimate partner violence in primary care.

I completed my Women's Health Fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2021. During this time I had an opportunity to work with incredible staff and patients at the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Centre at Women's College Hospital. This guide was built on the foundation of work done by Michelle Bobala RN and with the support of Dr. Robert Dymytryshn. This labour of love would not have been possible without their mentorship.
